Getting Around
For one of the UK's largest cities, Bristol is suprisingly easy to navigate. It's fairly easy to get around the central area on foot and there are good signposts for pedestrians identifying key points of interest.
Regular bus services operate and the 8 and 9 services connect the central area and Clifton with a good service.
There are a number of ferry services connecting the city, running from Bristol Temple Meads to Brunel's ss Great Britain, and stopping at a number of areas in between. Commuter services operate as well as sightseeing routes.
For more information about ferry services visit Bristol Ferry Boat Company and Number Seven.
Like all cities, the morning and evening rush hour periods can be busy, so it is worth noting that a number of park and ride services operate from Monday to Saturday. For more information about Park and Ride services visit www.bristol.gov.uk.

An interactive car park map is available on VisitBristol.co.uk.
Maps, travel tickets and information are available from Bristol Tourist Information Centre either in advance of or during your visit.
