Brunel's ss Great Britain

Corporate Events at SS Great Britain

Brunel's ss Great Britain has been lovingly restored to her former glory, offering only the best in quality, atmosphere and service.

The world's first luxury liner is a multi award-winning venue for non-residential conferences, corporate and private functions, weddings and civil partnerships. Steeped in history, the ship makes a stunning and memorable setting at the heart of Bristol’s harbour.

Brunel’s ss Great Britain hosts AGMs, conferences, exhibitions, client entertainment and office parties, photo shoots, as well as product, media, brand and advertising launches. With views over the harbour, Brunel’s ss Great Britain is ideal for photo opportunities. Up-to-date, flexible and modern facilities, with easy access, excellent transport links and good car and coach parking, complement the historic setting.

New for 2011 is the state-of-the-art Viridor Lecture Theatre and meeting rooms, with views onto the ss Great Britain. Clients are supported with excellent award-winning event management and customer service, and promotional tools such as high quality images. Launched by Prince Albert in 1843, admired by a young Queen Victoria and designed by one of the greatest engineers of the Victorian age, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the venue continues to inspire individuals and corporates alike.

Venue hire space on board ship include the Top Deck, the Promenade Deck, the First Class Dining Saloon and Hayward Saloon. Clients are able to hire part of the ship or have exclusive use of the entire ship.

Guests benefit from an optional guided tour, and have full freedom to explore the historic site and follow in the footsteps of Victorian passengers – from the first ‘All England Cricket Team’ to tour Australia to novelist Anthony Trollope.

As the world’s first great ocean liner, the ss Great Britain has many international links, especially with Australia, New Zealand, the USA, South Africa and the Falkland Islands. Clients include the Society of Editors, Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Champagne Mumm, and BBC Children in Need.
