Located in the heart of a stunning 250 acre nature reserve close to Bristol and Bath, and easily accessible to visitors from further afield, the award-winning Folly Farm Centre has everything you’ve been looking for in a green and away-from-it-all venue for conferences, meetings, seminars, training and team building days (why not try our new Sheep Shepherding activity!).
Housed in beautifully restored 18th century farm buildings, with uninterrupted views over wildflower meadows, Chew Valley lake and the Mendips, it offers the perfect combination of eco-friendliness and cutting-edge conference facilities.
There are 4 purpose-built conference suites at the centre, together with meeting rooms and training facilities, and 8 hour delegate rates start from only £25 plus VAT.
Protecting the planet
Avon Wildlife Trust helped establish this fantastic venue, and all profits continue to be ploughed back into the trust’s valuable ecological work. And, as you’d expect from a green venue, there are loads of eco-features, including solar hot water, biomass heating and rainwater harvesting.
Natural and recycled materials add to the unique character of the centre and many of the rooms have been designed to make optimal use of natural light and ventilation, helping protect the environment and maximise comfort levels for delegates.
Choosing Folly Farm is an excellent way to demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to protecting the planet.
The perfect venue
At Folly Farm you escape from the pressures and distractions of the office to a place where all your requirements are taken care of. From the early stages of planning through to the event itself, our friendly team will be on hand to offer professional advice and manage every last detail.
Whether it’s a small meeting, conference, team building day or large corporate event, you’ll get all the space you need to focus, energise and inspire. Outside, the unspoilt meadows and woodland are perfect for a revitalizing walk - we’ll be happy to provide a guided tour. And, for a change of pace, take part in some team-building that also benefits the environment.
The purpose-built conference suites offer state-of-the-art audio-visual and IT equipment and excellent connectivity. Professional office support, expert pre-conference planning assistance and first-class catering are among the many support services on offer, helping ensure that every events runs smoothly.
A room with a view
The charming period farmhouse offers 10 comfortable en-suite bedrooms, and 10 self-catering studios are available in the centre’s beautifully converted cow sheds. Much of the delegate accommodation enjoys glorious views over Chew Valley Lake.
A true taste of the South West
With a wealth of wonderful produce on the doorstep, our preferred caterers use fresh local, organic and seasonal ingredients wherever possible, providing guests with a true taste of the South West - from Exmoor Horn lamb and freshly harvested local vegetables to home-baked farmhouse breads and locally churned cheeses.
The facility is owned and managed by Avon Wildlife Trust (so all profits go back to this charity to help maintain their biodiversity projects in more than 30 other nature reserves).
