39 hours/5 day week
Mon - Fri, 8 hour shifts between 8am and 8pm
Salary approx. £12k
Reporting to the Reservations Manager duties will include:
- Process all reservations for accommodation via telephone, email, fax or post
- Ensure all enquiries are dealt with immediately and confirmations sent same day
- Ensure all bookings are tracked using correct agent and company details
- Ensure all provisional bookings are confirmed within 24 hours and chase any outstanding back up information
- Have a thorough understanding of all the room rates
- Be fully conversant with all the hotel facilities, services and special promotions offered
- Maximise opportunities and upsell at every opportunity to increase revenue by promoting all the services that the hotel offers
- Order flowers etc for special packages
- Process all no show charges
- Purchase advance purchase deposits
- Ensure all paperwork for each reservation is completed daily
- Communicate customer requirements to other hotel departments
Previous reservations experience preferred and knowledge of Fidelio PMS a definite advantage along with an understanding of the local area.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Sales & Marketing Team based at Ashton Court Mansion in Bristol.
The ideal candidate will be self disciplined and well organised, preferably with hospitality experience. In addition excellent administrative and customer service skills are essential. You will have confidence in dealing with people at all levels.
This role requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can think on their feet and is used to working in a busy environment. Excellent Microsoft Word skills along with some knowledge of Excel are required.
The role involves preparing proposals, and contracts, meeting clients, and answering sales enquiries. Administrative office based experience is a distinct advantage.
The ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English is essential as effective client and colleague communication, face to face, by email, and on the telephone, are integral to this role.
Hours of work will be five days a week 9am-5pm, working five days over seven including some weekends.
