Travelling to a conference in Bristol? Bristol is easily accessible by train, road and air.
The city is ideally located for road access from London, Birmingham and the rest of the UK, with the intersection of the M4 and M5 motorways located just to the north of Bristol and the M32 providing direct access to the centre. From the M4, exit at junction 19 (signpost to Bristol) and follow the M32 into the city centre. From the M5, exit at junction 18 and follow the A4 Portway (signpost to Bristol Airport). The north of the city is best accessed from junction 17 of the M5.
Bristol is also easily accessible by train and trains run every 30 minutes from London, Cardiff and Birmingham. Bristol has two mainline railway stations, Bristol Temple Meads (city-centre) and Bristol Parkway (north Bristol).
Bristol Temple Meads railway station (Bristol city centre) is the largest hub in the West of England. From the station there are bus services that take you into the city directly, or you can walk, take a ferry or connect directly to the airport via the Airport Flyer service.
