Travelling to a conference in Bristol? Bristol is easily accessible by train, road and air.

By Road

The city is ideally located for road access from London, Birmingham and the rest of the UK, with the intersection of the M4 and M5 motorways located just to the north of Bristol and the M32 providing direct access to the centre. From the M4, exit at junction 19 (signpost to Bristol) and follow the M32 into the city centre. From the M5, exit at junction 18 and follow the A4 Portway (signpost to Bristol Airport). The north of the city is best accessed from junction 17 of the M5.

By Rail

Bristol is also easily accessible by train and trains run every 30 minutes from London, Cardiff and Birmingham. Bristol has two mainline railway stations, Bristol Temple Meads (city-centre) and Bristol Parkway (north Bristol).

Bristol Temple Meads railway station (Bristol city centre) is the largest hub in the West of England. From the station there are bus services that take you into the city directly, or you can walk, take a ferry or connect directly to the airport via the Airport Flyer service.

Bristol Parkway serves the north of Bristol offering close access to the University of the West of England, many business parks and industries.

Destination Bristol have also teamed up with First Great Western to offer you an exclusive deal on reduced rail travel to your conference.

By Air

Bristol Airport is the gateway to the south west of England for thousands of international visitors every year, as well as providing the region's businesses with convenient access to the UK and international destinations.

Eleven scheduled airlines serve 107 direct destinations, and multiple daily flights to the major hubs of Amsterdam, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Brussels and Dublin make hundreds of onward connections accessible.
