About Destination Bristol
Launched in 1999, Destination Bristol represents the interests of nearly 300 stakeholder organisations drawn from both public and private sectors. These range from hotels and restaurants to language schools, museums and art galleries, from shopping centres to transport agencies and conference centres - indeed any business or supplier that provides services to visitors or has a stake in the tourism economy.

Destination Bristol manages the city's tourist information services, produces the official city guides and Bristol's premier travel website, www.VisitBristol.co.uk, and works with the travel trade, media and strategic partners to promote Bristol, its tourism and leisure businesses and those within the wider area that benefit from the city's booming tourism economy.
Destination Bristol also manages the Tourism Skills Network for the South West of England, and the region's Retail Skills Networks. These projects, funded by the South West RDA and the Learning and Skills Council, develop and deliver strategies that improve business competitiveness by enhancing the skill levels of people employed in the hospitality, retail and cultural services sectors, and promote the sectors as careers of first choice.
