Fire regulations helpline for VisitBritain QA scheme participants

VisitBritain is aware that there has been, and continues to be a great deal of consternation around the new Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order - RRFSO. Rest assured VisitBritain is doing all it can to help you through these difficult times. To this end we have set up an arrangement with a fire consultancy company - Fireco Ltd, who are experts in the field of fire prevention, fire safety and fire consultancy.
Package of benefits:
- From May 1st 2008 VisitBritain quality assurance scheme participants will be able to get advice and help from a member of their team for the vastly reduced price of £15 + VAT for half an hour. This is only available via a form submitted online to VisitBritain. A member of the Fireco team will then get in touch to discuss the issues and arrange payment. To download a copy of the form see www.visitbritain.com/quality and "Latest news".
Once you have downloaded the form please fill this in and email it to fireco@visitbritain.org

VisitBritain and FireCo reserve the right to limit the number of enquiries at any one time if this would in any way jeopardise the quality of the service being provided.

- If after the initial 30 minutes of advice additional advice is required, a further hours consultancy service is available for £70 + VAT, please note this amount would not cover a site visit. A discount of 10% is provided on all further consultancy services as required.

- A fire risk assessment template with guidance is also shortly to be available on the VisitBritain website for downloading and applying to your own property. It should be useable for any type of accommodation that falls under B and B's, guesthouses, farmhouses, inns with rooms and all types of individual self catering properties - with floors not exceeding three storeys (or 7.5 metres) in height.

- Fireco are also able to provide various consultancy services including carrying out fire risk assessments, fire awareness training and fire risk assessment training - so maybe you could get together with your local B and B group or a self catering agency and run one of their courses. These are all subject to a 10% discount for VisitBritain quality assurance scheme participants.
