Quality Grading - Discounts for new applicants

 

Membership of Destination Bristol offers new applicants to both VisitBritain and the AA's quality grading scheme a discount in their first year.

This is important, as one of the conditions of membership is that all accommodation businesses must be inspected by, and receive an award by either the AA or VisitBritain within the first 12 months of membership.

You should choose which organisation you wish to be graded by, evaluating the cost and benefits offered by each.

The inspection happens on an annual basis, so you will have an inspection and award every 12 months. You can work to improve your quality rating and aim for further awards (red or yellow stars from the AA or silver and gold awards from VisitBritain).

The AA Quality Schemes

The AA offer inspections for hotels and guest accommodation and a discount of 15% in the first year of membership.

VisitBritain Quality Assurance Scheme

VisitBritain offer a range of quality assessments for both serviced and unserviced accommodation.

The VisitBritain scheme offers a 10% 'cash back' for Destination Bristol members in their first application for grading which can be offset against the membership renewal.
