1. Membership Applications
All membership applications are subject to the approval of Destination Bristol and application does not guarantee acceptance.
2. Supply of data and images
It is the responsibility of the member to ensure that all data is correct and image permissions are granted on all data and images supplied to Destination Bristol for use in both print and electronic publication. Where appropriate, Destination Bristol may share these with promotional partners so it is essential that any restricted use is highlighted when supplied
Commission is charged on the following:
Accommodation Bookings made via Bristol Tourist Information Centre and VisitBristol.co.uk
- All bookings are subject to 10% of total stay, inclusive of VAT. This is taken from the customer at the time of booking, except where the business is an eviivo client where their standard model applies
Conference, Meetings and Events
Commission charged at 8% of the gross amount plus VAT on the following pre-booked services:
- Accommodation Bookings
- Room Hire
- Food and Beverage
- Equipment Hire
- Inclusive DDR rates
4. Invoicing and Payment Terms
All invoices are due for payment within 30 days. Should you have a query with an invoice, please contact Destination Bristol immediately. Destination Bristol reserves the right to suspend membership and associated benefits until full payment is received, subject to written notice by email to the main contact given at the time of application.
5. Renewals and Cancellation
Renewals will be sent automatically every 12 months from the date of joining. Cancellation of membership should be made in writing one month in advance of renewal.
6. Quality Assurance Schemes
All attractions, sightseeing, tours and other activity providers must sign the VisitEngland Code of Conduct
We also recommend that Visitor Attractions and Places of Interest participate in the Quality Scheme offered by VisitEngland.
We recommend that all conference, meeting and event venues participate in AIM (Accredited in Meetings) - Developed by the Meetings Industry Association but available to all venues and suppliers in the meetings industry, AIM is endorsed by VisitEngland as well as by VisitBritain, Visit Wales and MPi UK. The Meetings Industry Association has further information and details of how to apply.
