Destination Bristol are pleased to announce that businesses within the proposed new city centre Business Improvement District (BID) area voted in favour of implementing the new scheme.

Businesses in the new BID area will now contribute through a levy to a multi-million-pound investment over the next five years to improve the city centre.

Bristol’s City Centre BID will now be working with the levy payers and others to develop plans that will ensure Bristol remains at the forefront of UK cities in which to live, work, study, shop, and spend leisure time.

Keith Rundle, City Centre BID Development Manager said, ”Thank you so much to those who have voted to invest £6m over the next five years in improving the city centre offer. I will now be working with interested partners to have comprehensive plans in place for the start date of 1st November.”
