AboutMercure Bristol Holland House Hotel and Spa has transformed the public spaces, creating an extensive area for lounging, meeting, drinking and dining, in cosy bunks, booths, lounge areas and stylish seating.
The space, now known as the Urban Bar and Kitchen, is relaxing and welcoming with a feel of café bar meets chic restaurant – a space for guests and locals alike to enjoy.
The newly transformed restaurant is the perfect space to relax, unwind and enjoy delicious hassle free food. The Urban menu pays homage to the street food revolution and the increasing influence of Asian dining; guests can enjoy a variety of small and big plates inspired by food from around the globe. There is something for everyone with burgers, hot dogs and burritos, Indonesian Nasi Goreng and a host of sinfully delicious treats on the guilty pleasures deserts menu.
The new bar and dining area has paid homage to the rich industrial and maritime history that Bristol is renowned for in its new design. Creating a modern and contemporary feel, the hotel is staying true to its locally inspired roots. The hotel’s new look brings Bristol’s past and present to life combining the city’s industrial port and Iron Age history with the softer cultural and architectural redevelopment of the city’s more recent year. It features floor tiling with intricate detailed inset carpet areas and a breathtaking feature wall graphic inspired by Bristol’s rich maritime heritage as well as visual references and nods to the engineering works of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
