Travel and transport

Bristol is an excellent gateway to South West England and offers a perfect base for exploring the wider region. The city is only 90 minutes from London and just 20 minutes from Bath. The Somerset Coast and Cotswold countryside are on Bristol’s doorstep and the attractions of Berkeley Castle, Avon Valley Railway, Cheddar Caves & Gorge, WWT Slimbridge and Westonbirt Arboretum are only a stone’s throw away.

Bristol is served by excellent road, rail and air links, with two main railway stations, an international airport and close proximity to both the M4 and M5 motorways. For more information on Bristol Airport, view our Bristol Airport page in our non-group specific travel and maps section.
