Responses: three approaches to one space is a new series of commissions curated by Spike Island Associate Katherine Daley-Yates. This title describes the process of three artists responding consecutively to the particular dimensions of the Project Space, each with a limited time to develop work. Selected artists include Tod Hanson, Ayling & Conroy and John Harper.

Road Directions

From the city centre take Wapping Road over Prince Street Bridge behind Arnolfini and turn right onto Cumberland Road. Spike Island is about half a mile on the right. On-street parking available outside.

Public Transport Directions

Bus: Service 500 runs every 20 minutes during the week and every 30 minutes on Saturdays from Bristol Temple Meads, the city centre and Broadmead to directly outside Spike Island.

TRAIN: Bristol Temple Meads is a 15-20 minute walk from Spike Island. Follow signs to the SS Great Britain and Spike Island is half way along Cumberland Road.
