Matt White was selected as the recipient of the Rootstein Hopkins Artist's Award 2008, which supports Bristol based artists to develop their first major solo show. In his wider practice he frequently acts as the protagonist of his own work, exploring the physiological effects of self-induced, altered states.
From the city centre take Wapping Road over Prince Street Bridge behind Arnolfini and turn right onto Cumberland Road. Spike Island is about half a mile on the right. On-street parking available outside.
Bus: Service 500 runs every 20 minutes during the week and every 30 minutes on Saturdays from Bristol Temple Meads, the city centre and Broadmead to directly outside Spike Island.
TRAIN: Bristol Temple Meads is a 15-20 minute walk from Spike Island. Follow signs to the SS Great Britain and Spike Island is half way along Cumberland Road.
