Destination Bristol has launched a series of Treasure Trails in conjunction with Treasure Trails Gloucestershire to provide visitors with even more family activities over the summer holidays and beyond.
Treasure Trails are a fun way to explore Bristol and are aimed at encouraging families, couples and groups of friends to get out and about this summer to discover, experience and learn about their local region in a fun and unique way.
Each Trail includes step by step walking directions around the city to ensure that visitors and locals see the best, most interesting, scenic and historic parts of Bristol. In one handy £5 booklet, available at the Bristol Tourist Information Centre, visitors will find clues along their journey with the answers located on existing buildings, monuments and structures.
Children and adults enjoy the thrill of being the first to find a clue and solve the mystery. The activity also allows families to spend quality time together away from the TV on a healthy and fun walk (usually two miles).
Just in time for the summer holidays, choose from the new selection of Bristol Treasure Hunt Trails, including:

Upon completion and submission of a correct answer via the Treasure Trails website, visitors can enter the ‘win a Bristol holiday’ competition, courtesy of Destination Bristol. Also included are 4 tickets to enjoy activities like Brunel’s ss Great Britain, the Bristol City Sightseeing Tour and Bristol Ferry Boat Tour.
Treasure Trails are a great way for first time Bristol visitors to quickly orient themselves within the city and see all that is on offer whilst enjoying affordable, family fun. Locals will discover city delights that have been under their very noses but may have gone unnoticed. Treasure Trails are an ideal half day activity, leaving time for visitors to take the opportunity to combine their ‘walk with a purpose’ and go on to enjoy the many wonderful attractions, shops, cafes and restaurants that the city has to offer.
Bristol Treasure Trails are available in the official Bristol Tourist Information Centre located on the Harbourside next to Watershed for £5 per trail.
