The Bristol Hippodrome opened in 1912 and for almost one hundred years has been a continually working venue with many of the great names of British theatre performing on its stage. This year the historic theatre welcomes an exciting line-up, including Disney's The Lion King.

The Hippodrome stages major West End and Broadway productions along with ballet, opera, concerts, comedians and children’s shows.
The Bristol Hippodrome was designed by Frank Matchem, who also designed the London Palladium. The theatre will celebrate its centenary in December 2012 with an exciting line-up for the year, including major shows like Disney's The Lion King, Grease, I Dreamed A Dream, Calendar Girls, The Phantom of the Opera, Aladdin and more.
The theatre's centenary celebrations will be highlighted in the coming months with major announcements.
