A Bristol area castle hotel has recently announced that it now houses the UK's largest 4-poster hotel bed.

Kings and queens have stayed at Thornbury Castle. Courtiers have flirted with ladies-in-waiting in the ancient yew-hedged gardens. Serving girls have chattered in the stone-flagged courtyard. Today, Thornbury Castle still resonates with history and is the only Tudor castle in England to be open as a hotel.
And to add to the hotel's recognition, they have recently unveiled the UK's largest 4-poster hotel bed, measuring 10 feet wide!
The bed can be accessed by climbing 77 stone steps up a spiral staircase to the tower bedchamber which is sheer opulence. Adorned with 24 carat gilding, silk wall hangings and an en suite luxury bathroom, the tower bedchamber also has stunning views.
The hotel is only 15 minutes from the M5 and a short journey to the historic city of Bristol. The room is available at £520.00 per night to include dinner for two, full English breakfast and VAT.
