2012 Bristol Balloon Fiesta takes flight during England's exciting summer

As if the summer of 2012 didn't bring enough excitement to England, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta will also take flight during this eventful period.

The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is a world-class hot air ballooning festival recognised as one of the UK’s top 5 outdoor events. This 2012 Fiesta will be staged from 9th through 12th August at Ashton Court Estate in Bristol.

Taking place over 4 days, it is a hugely popular free event, attracting around 500,000 people from across the country and beyond. Visitors love to marvel at the skies as they fill with over 150 balloons of all shapes and sizes. 

Witness an unforgettable spectacle each morning and evening at 6am and 6pm as the balloons take to the sky in mass ascents. Visit the famous Night Glows, when the balloons tether in the main arena and light up in sequence to music, like giant light bulbs as onlookers sing along to classic tunes.
