Bristol welcomes an array of new hotels and refurbishments in late 2011 and 2012, including the Holiday Inn Bristol City Centre, Number 38 Clifton, Brooks Guesthouse Bristol and The Grand by Thistle.
Holiday Inn Bristol City Centre
The Holiday Inn Bristol City Centre opened in the summer of 2011 and is adjacent to Cabot Circus, Bristol’s main shopping centre (rates from £129). The fully furnished venue has 127 standard rooms, 24 executive rooms, and 4 suites with the latest audio visual equipment, modern fully-equipped gym, open kitchen restaurant, a bar with lounge area and 7 floors of car parking with 7 flexible meeting rooms, banqueting and function facilities.
Number 38 Clifton
Another exciting addition to Bristol's accommodation offering includes the luxury townhouse, Number 38 Clifton, which opened in the classy area of Clifton in the autumn of 2011 (rates from £95). This smartly converted Georgian merchant's house has panoramic views across the city from the back and the delightful Clifton Downs in front.
Brooks Guesthouse
Night owls will love the new boutique accommodation, Brooks Guesthouse, located right in the heart of historic St Nicholas Market and the buzzing city centre which opened in May 2011 (rates from £74). The guest house is within walking distance of the city centre shopping area offering quirky independent shops and big high street names, as well as many cafes and restaurants.
The Grand by Thistle
In Spring 2012, The Grand by Thistle will complete its refurbishment programme which has included all bedrooms, bars, restaurants, conference and meeting rooms, leisure club and public spaces, with in excess of £10m spent restoring the hotel’s Victorian splendour. The Grand Hotel is located in the heart of the old city of Bristol a short distance from Temples Meads train station and only 8 miles from Bristol Airport. The hotel has its own car park with 150 spaces for guests to use and 182 spacious bedrooms.
