Home > A Grand Night Out with Aardman at Bristol Zoo
With a combination of Aardman classics, unseen footage and a preview of Aardman’s new short, ‘The Pearce Sisters’, that has been picking up awards recently, this alfresco film night is terribly exclusive and should delight both animation fanatics and purely for pleasure watchers alike. It’s all going to take place on a giant cinema screen in the Zoo’s grounds; Wallace and Gromit will be there in person, as will a couple of Aardman model-makers who will be running plasticine workshops for the more ‘hands-on’ folk. Shaun the Sheep is sending in his Land Rover with a PicKnit crew, who are tasked with launching his PicKnit Challenge, by needling everyone in to helping them to knit a life-sized picnic. Food, drink and fancy popcorn will be available ……..Oh, and some very special cheese! Shhhh, don't tell Wallace!
Funds raised from the event will benefit two charitable causes, Wallace and Gromit Children’s Foundation and the Zoo’s ‘Mad for Madagascar’ Campaign that supports conservation projects in the wild.
Gates Open: 6.00pm, Screening starts: 7.30pm, Finish 9.30pm
