Home / Canoe Safari at WWT Slimbridge
The Canoe Safari is the third new exhibit to open in WWT Slimbridge’s ongoing Splash! development which aims to give visitors the chance to experience wildlife from a new perspective.
Visit the fisherman’s hut to see how you can paddle your own canoe before taking to the water in the safety of the supervised coracle pool. Once acclimatised to the sturdy open canoe, visitors will be able to discover a wetland trail rich in wildlife and native plant species.
The trail will take visitors on a journey of discovery with glimpses of the wild reserve and nature up close through reeds and grasses.
This Canoe Safari is available as part of a day visit to WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre every day from 1 April – 31 October 10:30am to 4pm and on weekends and bank holidays from 1 November - 31 December, 10.30am-3pm. Canoe hire is £3 per canoe for up to an hour. This activity is suitable for ages 4 and above.
