DAVID OGDEN conductor
Handel Israel in Egypt
A rare performance of one of Handel’s greatest works, dominated by virtuosic choruses, hailstones and lightning, buzzing flies and leaping frogs. All are brilliantly evoked for soloists, choir and orchestra in a series of incisive arias and choruses telling of the plagues of Egypt and the crossing of the Red Sea.
