Shop 'Til You Drop Itinerary

 

Day 1: Clifton Village and Park Street


Start the day in Clifton Village and take in the sweeping Georgian terraces, chic boutiques and shops. Pick up some pretty china in the Bristol China Company or the Village Pottery.

shoppingSeek out the Clifton Arcade on Boyces Avenue - one of Bristol's hidden gems. Originally a Victorian shopping mall, the Arcade now houses antique jewellery, furniture and arts and crafts shops.

While in Clifton, stop off for a coffee at the White Lion Pub on Sion Hill and take in the spectacular view of the Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol's greatest landmark which spans the scenic Avon Gorge.

Park Street - Shopping Heaven!Make your way to the City Centre via Queens Road and Park Street, known as Bristol's West End.This is a thriving and diverse shopping area with a host of quality independent traders in elegant buildings.

Check out the funky fashion and music stores, ethnic delights and book shops along Park Street.

Day 2: St Nicholas Markets and Broadmead


Spend the morning browsing in St Nicholas Markets in the Old City, a historic market established in 1743. The indoor market stalls sell a range of goods from second hand books, records, pictures, fossils and candles. Enjoy lunch at one of the many cafes and sample some of the fantastic international cuisine; choose from Caribbean, Italian, Portuguese, Asian Moroccan, Turkish, Mediterranean or good old English plus an excellent juice bar.

And take a walk outside to Corn Street to discover the outdoor markets. On Wednesdays the award winning Farmers Market sells delicious locally produced organic food. On Fridays and Saturdays, Bristol Gift Market sells clothes, jewellery, food, pictures and plenty of great ideas for gifts.

A few minutes' walk from St Nicholas Market is Broadmeadand The Mall Bristol, Bristol's main city centre shopping area.

There are over 300 stores in Broadmead and all the big name stores can be found here. The Mall Bristol shopping centre provides three levels of shops and restaurants in a stylish setting. And don't forget to buy some Bristol Blue Glass, which is still hand crafted in the city today. It's available from their own retail outlet in the Victorian Arcade.

Day 3: The Mall at Cribbs Causeway


You can easily spend a whole day shopping in The Mall at Cribbs Causeway. It's an ultra-convenient shopping-friendly complex with over 135 stores, top high street brands and over 17 cafés and restaurants, all under one roof. It's open until 9pm weekdays, 7pm on Saturdays or 5pm on Sundays, so there's plenty of time to shop until you drop!
