Bristol plays host to a packed schedule of food and drink events, fairs, festivals and markets throughout the year. See below for a summary of food and drink events that take place in Bristol on an annual basis.

Throughout the year, The Cookery School at Bordeaux Quay hosts a range of food and drink events including adult cookery courses, hands on workshops, childrens cookery demonstrations as well as popular celebrity chef demonstrations!
May
Bristol Eco Veggie Fayre - a superb weekend out for the whole family and the perfect introduction into an Eco Friendly, Veggie Friendly and Fair Trade way of life. The show is packed full of stalls, products, food, information and education - as well as entertainment featuring headline act Roots Manuva. All food and products available at the show are 100% plant based.
July
Taking place from the 2nd – 4th July 2010 in the Lloyd’s Amphitheatre, the Bristol Wine & Food Fair is proud to return for its third year. This 3-day wine and food extravaganza in the heart of Bristol celebrates fine wines from around the world and welcomes artisan food producers from the South West, offering visitors the chance to taste, learn, enjoy and discover.
Tickets can be bought in advance from the Tourist Information Centre and online.
Two new tastings announced, with limited availability:
- Tuesday 22nd June - Glassboat Restaurant - Taste your way through 6 wines from the Rainbow Nation. Fiona Beckett leads you on this voyage of discovery.
- Thursday 24th June - Hotel du Vin – Taste 3 of the best sparkling wines against 3 classic champagnes. Susy Atkins will lead you through this fantastic one-off wine tasting in the private room of the Hotel du Vin.

August
The Bristol Harbour Festival, one of the city's most popular annual events, and features an authentic European food market selling delicious continental food and drink. Taste traditional regional delicacies or purchase fresh ingredients to take home with you.
September
The Soil Association Organic Food Festival is Europe's largest celebration of all things organic. Sample organic food and drink and watch celebrity chef demonstrations. The organic market sells all sorts of organic produce along with crafts, clothing, gifts and toiletries.
Taste Food Festival is South Gloucestershire's biggest food and drink event. More than 25 local producers showcase their products at 35 events, held at various locations.
October
The Celebration of Food festival showcases the very best food and drink suppliers thoughout the South West during October. From tasting events to restaurant offers, this festival celebrates the best gastronomy that the region has to offer.
Regular Food Markets
The award-winning Bristol Farmers' Market takes place every Wednesday on Corn Street in central Bristol. Local producers from within a 40 mile radius sell a wide range of delicious foods, including cheese, fish, honey, cakes, vegetables, fruit, meat, game and traditional Christmas poultry. All the produce is grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked or smoked by the local stallholders.
The Tobacco Factory Market is held every Sunday in the yard at the back of the building. Touch, taste and purchase a mixture of foods, organic produce, local crafts and clothing.
The monthly Slow Food Market takes place on Corn Street on the first Sunday of every month - a real treat for food lovers. Talk to the producers, sample and purchase a fantastic range of items, and find out more about Slow Food. Food for sale includes award-winning meat, game, poultry, specialist breads, handmade chocolates, organic spices, local vegetables and wines, ciders and preserves.
