Melanie

Melanie

The original twisted queen of flower power ballads, Melanie Safka made her name after a legendary performance at Woodstock, before going on to sell over 80 million records with her beautifully observed, divinely evocative folk songs, covered by artists from Dolly Parton to Macy Gray. Hailed by The New York Times as the female Bob Dylan, Melanie has undergone a critical rediscovery following her sell-out concert as part of Jarvis Cocker’s Meltdown Festival, seamlessly entwining new songs with her Emmy and Grammy award-winning classics Brand New Key and What Have They Done To My Song.
