Colston Hall Bristol is out and about this summer and proud to be supporting three key music events in the city - the Ashton Court Festival, the EDF Energy Bristol Harbour Festival and the Square Sessions in Queen Square.
For the third year Colston Hall was proud to sponsor the Colston Hall Global Marquee at the Ashton Court Festival, 14 - 15 July. Featuring a dynamic mix of music from around the world, the Global Marquee proved again to be one of the most popular stages at the festival.
Colston Hall is also pleased to be again presenting the Queen Square stage at the EDF Energy Bristol Harbour Festival (28 - 29 July) with an eclectic mix of sounds including Acoustic Ladyland and Babyhead. To kick things off, Colston Hall presents a free concert at the Canons Marsh Amphitheatre on the Friday evening (27 July) with reggae legends the Toots and the Maytals with support from Bristol's very own reggae and dub legend DJ Derek.
Colston Hall is pleased to announce that it will be presenting the Square Sessions, two free concerts in Queen Square on the evenings of Friday 3 and Friday 10 August. Starting at 5pm after work, the Square Sessions will be your chance to chill out to some quality music on a balmy summer's evening. The music will be programmed to reflect Colston Hall's successful Leftfield season which features an eclectic mix of jazz, folk, contemporary classical and world music. Some of the great bands taking part include The Cedar, Pee Wee Ellis, Beth Rowley, Mankala and Sheelanagig.
