There were Aardman antics at Bristol Zoo today as Wallace and Gromit visited Zoo representatives to thrash out the finer details of their 'Grand Night Out at Bristol Zoo', that will take place on Saturday 15 September.
The event, to raise money for Wallace and Gromit's Children's Foundation and the Zoo's 'Mad for Madagascar' campaign, will see an outdoor screening of animated exclusives and previews plus the 'Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit' adventure.
In addition, Aardman modelmakers will run plasticine workshops with prizes for the best amateur models and Shaun the Sheep is sending in his Land Rover with the PicKnit crew, who are charged with needling everyone into helping them to knit a life-sized picnic. There'll also be plenty of food and drink available, not to mention cheese (Shhh don't tell Wallace!).
"We're delighted to be hosting this event" says Dr. Bryan Carroll, Bristol Zoo's Deputy Director. "We don't normally allow dogs on site but we've agreed to make an exception for Gromit on this occasion, given that he is helping us to promote an event that will raise funds for two very worthy causes".
