Bristol’s wildest festival is back for another year!

Bristol Zoo's annual summer festival returns for another jam packed day of music, theatre, circus acts, cabaret, food, drink and fun next month.

Stilt walkers at Bristol Zoo GardensColourfully costumed stilt walkers from Bristol-based performers, Vertigo Stilts, will be on show at Bristol Zoo tomorrow (Wednesday, July 2) to officially launch Boogie for Brizzle - Bristol's wildest festival.

Set in the Zoo's impressive 12-acre grounds, Boogie for Brizzle takes place on Saturday July 26 and celebrates and showcases Bristol's abundant home-grown talent, including some of the best performers and live music the city has to offer.

The line up on the Zoo's very own 'Main Stage' will include funk band THiNK, ska pop from Los Albertos, folky disco from Let's Tea Party, drum n bass from Dr Meaker and Yapnuckle - a 10 piece wonder-orchestra of wonky misfits!

Over on the 'Other Stage' will be comedic performances from world renowned jugglers Haggis & Charlie, cabaret from Les Femmes Fatal, clowning around from Ramshackilisicous and mind-boggling artwork from John Hicks.

There will also be impressive performances from Bristol's foremost youth a cappella ensemble, the WorldRoots Voice Ensemble, as well as entertainment and street theatre from Swank and Vertigo Stilts out and about in the Zoo.

And if all that isn't enough, revellers can also see the Zoo's 450 animal species as Boogie for Brizzle is the only night of the year when the Zoo stays open 'til late.

All proceeds from Boogie for Brizzle go toward the Zoo's Year of the Frog campaign which aims to raise funds and awareness about the extinction threat facing amphibians both in the UK and across the world

Boogie for Brizzle is on Saturday July 26, from 4pm until 11pm. Tickets are available now, costing £11 in advance (£7 children). Tickets on the night cost £13 (£8 for children). Family tickets cost £29 in advance (£34 on the night). Under 3s are free.
