Tyntesfield House

Tyntesfield, magnificent Victorian country house near Bristol, has survived with its historic contents, gardens, park and estate buildings intact.

The project at Tyntesfield is still in the early stages of development, but the property offers a unique insight into the work needed to conserve an estate. Major building and conservation work is planned for 2007, which could result in limited access to some parts of the property. Although new rooms have been added to the visitor route, only the ground-floor rooms are open. Facilities on site are temporary and basic. Admission is by timed ticket for all visitors. Tickets are issued at Visitor Reception on arrival and cannot be booked. Entry to the property and car park cannot be guaranteed on busy days. Tel. Infoline for details.

House and Chapel are open from 11 - 5, Garden, shop and Kiosk are open from 10.30 - 5.30pm.

The property is closed on Thursdays and Fridays every week.
