This 19th century grade II listed Coach House has been recently renovated and converted into a 4 star self-catering cottage. It is situated in the attractive, West Town Conservation area of Backwell.
Accommodation:The Coach House is conveniently positioned close to the main road in the heart of the village with all the amenities close by. Access is via double wooden gates into a gravel courtyard between the Coach House and the owner’s home, with ample open car parking space.
The accommodation comprises of a large open plan living and dining area with a spacious well equipped kitchen to one end, which includes an electric cooker, gas hob, microwave oven, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a fireplace with a cast iron “wood burner” (gas controlled) and a solid oak floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms. One room has a double bed and en-suite shower room (with WC and sink), the other with twin beds. There is also a separate family bathroom (with WC and sink). The property is decorated in a contemporary style yet retains much of its original character providing a relaxed and comfortable environment.
Local Amenities:Backwell is an excellent base for visiting the local cities of Bath, Bristol, and Wells, and for walking in the nearby Mendip and Quantock hills. Local Landmarks include Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury Tor, Chew Valley lakes, Tyntesfield Court and the coastline off the Bristol Channel. Further afield, Backwell is well positioned to visit South Wales, the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean and the Black mountains to the west, Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds to the north, Longleat, Salisbury and Stonehenge to the east, and Exmoor and the Devon coast to the south.

From M4 jct 19 follow M32 south to Bristol centre. Go through centre and pick up A370 Weston-super-Mare road. Follow A370 into Backwell. The Coach House is approx 1km past the Backwell centre traffic lights, on the left on the junction with Church Lane. Entrance is via wooden gates by the post box. From M5 jct 21, follow A370 towards Bristol. The Coach House is on the right approx 1km after reaching Backwell.

Nearest train station - Nailsea and Backwell Stations. 1 mile north of the Coach House.
