Home / Things to Do / Bloom Festival 2008
Following last year’s huge success, the Bloom Festival is pitching up for a second year of fun and frolics at a brand new location between Bath and Bristol this summer.
The National Trust’s majestic Dyrham Park will be home to a veritable feast of a variety of cultured beats with six arenas from cutting-edge house, electro, hip hop, funk and reggae to dub, indie and more.
With a line up promising the very best of who's who in a wide genre of musical talents and visuals, confirmed live acts so far include Dub Pistols, Crazy P, The Earlies, Mr Hudson and The Library, Long Range (Phil Hartnoll), Ben Westbeech, Cagedbaby and Border Crossing.
Sets from some of the worlds finest DJ’s can be expected from Cagedbaby & friends featuring Justin Robertson, Radioslave, Nathan Detroit & Sam Watts, Faith featuring Terry Farley, Stuart Patterson & Dave Jarvis; Bugz in the Attic (DJ Set), The Nextmen, Chew the Fat! featuring Paul Arnold, Merka and friends, Inland Knights and many more who will sit along side the likes of pioneering audio visual mash up masters: Eclectic Method .
Expect a whole array of fancy dress, impromptu performance, ferris wheel, fire shows, installations, live art, bingo, 1920’s DJs in full costume, circus acts, mazes and much more taking place across the weekend in every Bloom nook and cranny.
With designated kid zones, a range of holistic therapies in the Bloom Vegetable patch, markets and a selection of quality, organic eateries, Bloom has something for everyone.
