CREATE Centre and Ecohome

create-centre.jpg

Create offers visitors the opportunity to explore environmental issues and discover greener choices in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. As a centre for environmental excellence (free entrance) it has a programme of changing exhibitions, events and activities throughout the year. One of the most popular features is the Ecohome, a demonstration sustainable house highlighting changes that can be made in our homes and showcasing ideas for greener living. The Ecohome is open 12.00 – 15.00 Monday to Friday and 11.00 - 3.30 on Saturdays. New developments for Create in 2010 include a lively Saturday programme of family friendly activities (check website for details) and an eco-reference library and children’s books. Create is surrounded by footpaths and cycle routes that take the visitor along the docks or the river and beneath the Suspension Bridge. The Create café offers hearty breakfasts, snacks and light meals and aims to serve fair trade, organic and locally sourced produce.
