Hands On Activities at the City Museum & Art Gallery

Handle real objects and get creative with a range of themed activities every month, such as Strike a Light, Toy time, Natural World, going Underground and many more! These popular free drop-in activities are run on a first-come first-served basis. Children must have adult supervision.

The Shape of Things, our current exhibition has many links to the museum collections but can you work out what they are? A range of activities and handling objects will help you 'make that link' to find out more about the collections and how the artists were inspired by objects in surprising ways.
