Gardiner Haskins Homecentre and Gardiner Homecentre (located at Bristol and Cirencester) are the retail stores of a business founded almost 180 years ago. Founded in 1823, Gardiner Sons & Co Ltd, was originally based in a blacksmiths workshop providing Ironmongery and Metal Works for the people of Bristol.

Isambard Kingdom Brunel whilst working in Bristol on the Great Western Railway and the S.S.Great Britain, purchased two drawing instruments from Gardiners. Embossed with "IKB" these items are now in the Bristol University Museum.

Registered as a Limited Company in 1893, Gardiners had grown substantially, with five factories in the Bristol area, manufacturing and exporting around the world, as well as retailing and wholesaling goods.

Today, operating in Bristol from the former Puritan Soap Works and Candle factory (Brunel Rooms), and at Cirencester on the site of Steels Garage and the Little Bull pub, the store offers everything for the home and more.
