If you are up for a physical challenge and seeking the thrill of adventure, RockSport is for you! Take part in our high adrenalin activities of Caving or Rock Climbing in the famous Cheddar Gorge. All equipment is provided and activities take place on well maintained sites, registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority.

You can make a full day of it with a RockSport Double (both activities in the same day) or combine one RockSport activity with our Caves & Gorge Explorer ticket (the Adventure Day ticket), allowing you into all our attractions.

Opening Times

1 ½ hour Caving sessions run daily throughout the year at 9.30am, 11.30am, 2.00pm and 4.00pm

1 ½ hour Rock Climbing sessions run daily from April to October (depending on weather) at 10.00am, 12.00pm, 2.30pm and 4.30pm

Caving or Rock Climbing - £17.00 per person

RockSport Double - £32.00 per person

Adventure Day Ticket - £29.50 Adult £23.50 Child (min age 11 yrs)

Mainline trains direct from London (Paddington), Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Carlisle, Leeds, Sheffield, Derby, Birmingham (New Street), Cardiff, Plymouth, Exeter, Portsmouth & Southampton to Bristol (Temple Meads) then change for local train to Weston-super-Mare then take FIRST Bus 126 (Sundays 826) to Cheddar.

126 Weston-super-Mare to Axbridge, Cheddar, Wells and return. Mon to Sat – every hour. (Sun 826 – every 2 hours.)

668 Street to Wedmore, Cheddar, Shipham and return. Mon to Sat – every 2 hours
