River & Docks cruises up to Bath & down the Avon under Clifton Suspension Bridge, with commentary. General public cruises on 4 boats; the "Bagheera" the "Tower Belle" the "Redshank" and the "Flower of Bristol" all available for educational cruises and private charter. Trips"include Beeses Tea Gardens for tea, lunch at Chequers, Lock & Weir, as well as a tour of the city dock with commentary and tour of dockside pubs.
The Bagheera, launched in 2002, is a glass covered Amsterdam built boat. Redshank is a traditional narrowboat built in 1936 and has been totally refurbished for the 2006 season. Flower of Bristol is a modern purpose built all-weather cruiser. Tower Belle, built in 1920, retains the elegance of a traditional river steamer.
We can carry private charters between 20 and 100 passengers which are available all year. General public trips operate every weekend and daily during Bristol school holidays.
Boats depart from the SS Great Britain, City Centre, Watershed and Welsh Back (Bristol Bridge).
Follow signs to SS Great Britain, Historic Harbour.
From Temple Meads Railway station walk to the main road and catch the Bus number 500 to the SS Great Britain.
