Transition City: Preparing for peak oil

Architecture Centre exterior

In towns, villages and cities across the UK, grass roots movements are addressing the challenges of peak oil and climate change, seeking greater self-reliance in fuel, food and housing. To coincide with the publication of The Transition Handbook by Transition pioneer Rob Hopkins, this exhibition highlights some of the ways communities can ‘act local’ to bring about change in their neighbourhoods and beyond.
