A WINNING STREAK FOR TOP CLASS BORDEAUX QUAY

Staff at Bordeaux Quay are celebrating a bumper year of award wins culminating in victory at the South West Tourism Excellence Awards, where they scooped the Gold Award for Sustainable Tourism.
The world-class Bristol Harbourside venue, which boasts a restaurant, brasserie, bar, deli, bakery and cookery school, was presented the award in recognition of its success in combining the finest food with ethical credentials. The award is the final addition to a collection of accolades accumulated by Bordeaux Quay over the past year.
Having recently been named Restaurant of the Year 2009 by Bristol Evening Post, as well as top tributes for food and dining experience, Bordeaux Quay has been recognised with many awards including Restaurant magazine’s top 50 restaurants of the year and Taste of the West 2009 awards for deli products.
Bordeaux Quay is also the UK’s first eco-restaurant to achieve a gold rating under the Soil Association's sustainable catering scheme, which guarantees customers get a sustainable meal, with standards governing food additives, animal welfare and the seasonality of the produce chefs use.
The venue will join the 14 other Gold Award winners and go on to represent the region at the National Enjoy England Awards for Excellence in 2010.
