Embark on a journey of Exploration this half term

Friday, 22nd May 2009

With the school holidays fast approaching, Explore-At-Bristol has lined up a packed schedule of events, exhibits and exciting activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The hottest new thing at the Explore centre is Exploration - a fun-filled expedition which allows you to embark on a journey of discovery to some of the most extreme places on Earth. Exploration at Explore-At-BristolLearn the techniques you would need to survice an intrepid adventure at the Exploration Stations, or hear true stories from real-life explorers who will be at the show on the 27 and 28th May.

Gemma Kearsley-Wooller, Learning Officer at Explore-At-Bristol, said: "The Exploration theme is really good fun, especially getting experts in to talk about actual explorations they've been on and what they found whilst there!

She adds: "Both children and adults are getting involved with our live shows and Exploration Stations and there are lots of questions being asked, so it seems everyone's got an interest in it. I encourage people to come to the Meet the Expert sessions as it's not often you get the chance to ask questions to someone who's spent weeks on location studying something, and they're coming in to not only answer any burning questions people may have but also to demonstrate some of the techniques they used and to allow you to have a go too!"

The Meet the Expert sessions are free with a ticket to Explore-At-Bristol along with the Extreme Exploration Show.
