Big Bang Exhibition

Big Bang poster

The universe is a strange and mysterious place, with many fascinating questions for us to try and answer:

How did it all begin?

What is it made of?

Why are we here?

To answer these questions and many other perplexing puzzles, scientists must first understand what the universe was like at its very beginning, when space, time, energy and matter were first created. The time of the Big Bang! You might think that it is impossible to understand what our universe was like over 13 billion years ago...well, the answers may be closer than you think...

The Large Hadron Collider, a 27km long particle accelerator buried deep underground near Geneva, is currently examining the particles that make up our gigantic universe, allowing scientists to study the tiny building blocks of everything. With Explore-At-Bristol's new exhibition, Big Bang, you can find out more about the advanced science and technology being used to investigate everything from the tiniest particles to the possibly infinite universe itself.

You can even compliment your visit to the Big Bang exhibition with a free planetarium show - proving that Explore-At-Bristol really does offer an out of this world experience!

Big Bang arrives in Explore on 26 September.
