Troopers Hill is one of the most spectacular wildlife spots in the city. There are several events happening in October:
Wednesday, 1 Meeting 7.15pm
Saturday, 4 Morning Work Party 10am
Sunday, 5 - A Nature in the City Event - Avon Valley Walk 10am – 4pm
A guided walk through Conham, Dundridge Park, Troopers Hill, St Anne’s Woods, Nightingale Valley & Eastwood Farm finishing at Beeses Bar & Tea Rooms. Bring Packed Lunch. Meet at Conham car-park.
Sunday, 12 - Funded by donation from Beeses Bar & Tea Garden - Family Fun Dog Show from 2pm
A fun event on Troopers Hill Field that we hope all local dogs and dog owners will want to attend.
For dogs of all shapes and sizes.
Thursday, 16 - A Nature in the City Event - Owl Prowl 7pm-9pm
Join Ian McGuire on an exciting night-time hunt for owls.
Friday, 31 - A Nature in the City Event - Through the Seasons Walk - 10.30am
The last of the guided short and relaxed walks introducing the history and wildlife of the hill.
Troopers Hill is in St. George, east Bristol, between the A431 Air Balloon Road and Crews Hole Road. These roads are linked by Troopers Hill Road, from which there are four pedestrian entraces to the site. The lowest is close to the junction with Crews Hole Road and gives easy access to or from the river Avon Trail. The nearest entrance to Air Balloon Road is at the corner of Greendown.
