Home > What's on in Bristol > Gulls with McGill
Many of us may feel that gulls are a nuisance, shrieking as they circle, and ready to snatch food wherever they find it. But Slimbridge Reserve warden Martin McGill is a real enthusiast, believing passionately that they are nature’s survivors.
This year, for one evening only, Martin will lead a small group to the Sea Wall at the Wetland Centre, where one of the biggest gull roosts in the South West is situated. He will guide you through this spectacle of nature, identifying up to seven species of gull, with differing plumage.
The great gull search starts at 7 pm on Thursday 31 July, and costs £15. It is an interesting and stimulating evening, and it is always oversubscribed. Hence pre-booking on 01453 891223 is essential
So do get in early to reserve your place and so learn from a true expert in his field.
