Mari Wilson

Mari Wilson

Before Amy Winehouse, the undisputed queen of beehive-soul was chanteuse Mari Wilson. Following six hit singles in the 1980s, Mari switched styles to jazz, took the title role in the musical Dusty and recently starred with Boy George in Taboo. Two previous appearances at St George’s with ‘Girl Talk’ have confirmed Mari Wilson as one of the UK’s finest female vocalists, infusing torch-song yearning and full-on soul shouts with a real charm, glamour and wit.
