Home > What's on in Bristol > Martha Wainwright
Martha Wainwright is one of the world's most vibrant singer-songwriters and for those who only know her through her duet with Gary Lightbody on Snow Patrol's Set The Fire To The Third Bar this gig provides an electrifying introduction to her playful, touching and raw music.
In her short career so far she has made music with The Who's Pete Townshend, Damon Albarn's Africa Express, brother Rufus, mother Kate McGarrigle, father Loudon Wainwright III and Emmylou Harris. She has covered Leonard Cohen's songs for the film I'm Your Fan, performed Bertold Brecht and Kurt Weill's Seven Deadly Sins with the Royal Ballet Company, and sang Pink Floyd's See Emily Play with her mother at a Syd Barrett tribute.

Most buses to the city centre stop at the promenade, where we recommend you alight for the Colston Hall. We are situated on Colston Street, behind the Colston Tower.
