Slimbridge Wetland Centre offers you the opportunity to see an aspect of its conservation work which has nothing to do with birds. On Sunday 24 August the otters Bertie and Berlinda will be putting in an appearance, and you can meet them.
These normally shy Asian short-clawed otters will have their own little oasis created in a corner of the Big Pen, where they will be able to be seen from 10am to 4pm. Here you will have the opportunity to get close to these attractive creatures, as well as learn more about otters within the context of wetland conservation.
There will be no additional charge for this event, and other Slimbridge attractions such as the Canoe Safari and Welly Boot Land will also be open as usual.
