Ashton Court Festival

A fantastic outdoor festival held every summer featuring outdoor stages with the best of local bands plus national headliners to finish.

Featuring soul, funk, hip-hop and jazz bands, modern and traditional music from around the World, performing arts, dance, poetry, comedy and theatre. Plus over 150 stalls selling food and crafts from around the World, two event bars and fairground rides.

Road Directions

From the South and East
Take the M4 and turn off onto the M32 which takes you into the centre of Bristol. Follow signs for the city centre and at the first roundabout take the first left past Debenhams. In the centre start looking for signs for Portishead/Clevedon or the A370 Weston-super-Mare (brown signs for Bristol City football club will also send you in the right direction as will signs for @Bristol). As you go through the centre you want the Hippodrome on your right then the docks followed by @Bristol on your left, next you will see the docks again and the SS Great Britain on the other side of the water. By now you should be able to see the signs for Weston-super-Mare A370, you will go up onto a flyover and after ½ a mile you will see the Portishead signs, start following these and you will pick up the AA signs which will direct you to the car park.

From Wales, the South West, the Midlands and the North
Take the M5 and turn off at junction 19 (Gordano Services) and follow the A369 to Bristol, you will pick up the AA signs on the outskirts to the city.

Public Transport Directions

Special festival bus service (numbers 231 and 232) will be picking up from, and returning to:

Colston Hall
bottom of Blackboy Hill
opposite the old ABC cinema, Whiteladies Road

This year the buses will drop you off close to the festival entrance, so you won't have that long walk up the hill. Buses will run from 11am to midnight, with £2 flat fare, £1 for kids.
