Sigur Rós have produced five acclaimed albums and built an international following in the fourteen years since they formed. The innovative Icelandic musicians have a striking and original style: they have written lyrics in a constructed language called Hopelandic and played guitars using bows from a cello. Their haunting melodies have been used in numerous films and television adverts, including the BBC's acclaimed series Planet Earth.
