Harptree Court

Built in 1796, this beautiful Georgian house sits in its own 17 acres of landscaped gardens almost unchanged since it was laid out. There are two king size rooms with ensuite bathrooms both tastefully furnished in antique style with wonderful views overlooking the park. Each room has fresh flowers, fruit, tea/coffee tray with homemade biscuits, TV with DVD, radio/alarm and hairdryer. There is also another double room with a private shower room, basin and loo. It is directly opposite and we give bath robes to make life easier. Guests have exclusive use of their own sitting room complete with comfy sofas. Breakfast is taken in the elegant formal dining room with spectacular views over the garden. This is the moment to linger over a home cooked aga breakfast using locally sourced produce wherever possible or fruit from our own gardens. A time to relax and read the morning papers, provided free. A candlelit dinner is available by prior arrangement, but we have a marvellous village pub within walking distance.
Come early and sit in front of a roaring log fire or in summer under the shade of the catalpa tree and we will provide you with a complimentary homemade cream tea.
Nothing is too much trouble for us and we take enormous care and pride in looking after our guests.
