Public Art

About

Art and the Public Realm Bristol is a website providing information on Bristol’s many public art works. It provides detailed information on past and present public works along with a fully mobile phone compatible mapping system to help locate hundreds of works around the city.

The site also features an archive of audio recordings (podcasts) of artist’s talks, event listings, and information on forthcoming project launches and opportunities.

All works profiled on the site are the result of BCC’s public art policy or were developed by organisations in the city in collaboration with Bristol City Council.

The site does not include works of art commissioned outside of the planning system, non BCC funded projects, or Bristol’s notable Urban Art works, such as those by Banksy www.banksy.co.uk or its collection of historic status and monuments which can be found at: www.pmsa.org.uk.
