Your magical balloon ride over Bristol could begin at the fabulous Ashton Court Estate. Carefully selected for its close proximity to the centre of the Bristol and the breathtaking views of the city that it offers - a view that can only be truly appreciated whilst gently drifting above in a hot air balloon.

As you peacefully float above the city, you will view some of Bristol’s best-known landmarks from a very special perspective. These could include Brunel’s Clifton Suspension Bridge, spanning the beautiful Avon Gorge, an iconic symbol of the city of Bristol.

As you enjoy the views of the historic Bristol Docks you may see Brunel’s impressive SS Great Britain. The replica of John Cabot’s famous ship, The Matthew, can also be seen moored up alongside, when not sailing.

You may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the beautiful Wills Memorial Building, University of Bristol, one of the last gothic buildings in England.

With the wind as your guide, your balloon ride may also take you Temple Meads Station, the stunning St. Mary Redcliffe Church or Bristol Cathedral… or in a different directions you may hear the roaring of lions and monkeys calling as you drift over Bristol Zoo. You may also be lucky enough to fly over the Victorian Country House, Tyntesfield, in Wraxall. On a clear day there may also be the chance for a spectacular view over the West Country Bridges and the new Severn Crossing.

Passengers can be involved helping set the balloon up, with the flight lasting approximately one hour. Chilled champagne is served after the flight to celebrate before returning back to the launch site at Royal Victoria Park, where each passenger is presented with a commemorative flight certificate. The whole experience takes between three and four hours.
The meeting times vary throughout the year as flights take place a couple of hours after sunrise and before sunset when the winds are at their calmest.
